01 / Gather for the next surprise

3–8 seats, one connected phone per human. Create with a nickname and invite by QR, link or six-character code. Add simple computer riders; one human and two computers can play. All humans must be online and ready. Free, no signup or real-money wagers.

02 / Six camels, one shared race

No player owns a camel. At the start, the six camels are randomly paired into stacks on spaces 0, 1 and 2 of a 24-space oasis course. Numbers, names and colors identify them. A farther space ranks ahead; within a stack, higher camels rank ahead.

03 / Make a secret forecast

At the start of each leg, take up to 60 seconds to pick a camel and a forecast style. Safe: score 2 if it places in the top two. Bold: score 5 if it places first. Otherwise score 0. Also pick a camel to cheer for; it may be the same one. Locking is final. Your choices stay private until the leg is scored.

04 / A little cheer goes a long way

Once everyone locks, cheer totals become public, without voter identities. Each vote adds one space to that camel’s own move this leg, up to two extra spaces. Computers also cast one vote. Forecasts remain private. Missing choices are submitted by a simple strategy at timeout and shown on your phone.

05 / Reveal, carry, surprise

The first caller is random, then calling rotates continuously. Each reveal uniformly selects a camel that has not yet made its own move this leg. It travels a random 1–3 spaces plus its cheer bonus, carrying every camel above it. Camels below stay put. The moving group lands on top of any destination stack, preserving order. Being carried does not use a camel’s own move. Each camel gets at most one own move per leg.

06 / Score, then forecast again

After all six own moves, forecasts and points are revealed using the current ranking. The host can start the next leg; it also starts automatically after 30 seconds. A camel reaching or passing space 24 ends the race after that move. Otherwise the race ends after six legs. Forecast points double in the final leg: 4 for Safe, 10 for Bold. Highest total score wins; ties share the win. The champion camel and winning players are shown separately.

07 / Phones and the shared screen

Phones show the full course and controls without a screen. When a screen connects, phones default to private controls with the public course collapsed. Expand it at any time. The screen receives only public racing information and revealed results. Manual view choices are preserved; a disconnected-screen message includes an expand control.

08 / Reconnect, pause, leave

A reveal has 45 seconds before it happens automatically. A disconnected human with a missing forecast, or the current caller going offline, pauses play until reconnection. Computers pause when all humans are offline. The host can pause, fill offline actions, or return to the lobby. Hosting passes to an online human after 30 seconds offline. Leaving mid-game hands the seat to a computer and revokes the old credential.

09 / A room for your friends

Your browser stores your own reconnect credential. Nicknames cannot claim old seats. The last human leaving deletes the room; otherwise it expires 24 hours after its last state change. No accounts, payments, recordings, public matchmaking or permanent leaderboard.

10 / Our own course and rules

Adria Dune Rally is independently created by Adria Island. Camel artwork, the oasis course, the combination of sealed forecasts and cheers, interface and rule text are original to this project. This page defines the game’s rules.
